I had a diamond goby but it disappeared. It did a good job of keeping my sand clean. I was wondering if there was anything else that would do a better job.
Thanks
Mike

There may be some who disagree with me here, but I believe that sand sifters of any tipe (fish, star, etc) are detrimental to the tank's ecosystem. They not only clean the detritus (which can easily be controlled in other ways) but consume valuable and important micro-flora and fauna from the sandbed that are the reason it is "live" sand. Just my $.02.

its more for looks and keeping build up in the sb down to a min. but if youd o want a better shifter. try a cucumber. they do a better job than most. sandshifter stars. are the ones that destroy the sand completely as they starve in our tanks "not enough food"
