Which date would you prefer for our next/first gathering?

I would go for the 20th, though have no idea what my on-call schedule is until the first few days into the month.

I hope we can pull this off this time - very excited to see your set-up!

Rainer

Rainer, if it wins the poll, is the 13th doable for you?

Not much worse than the 13th - again, On-Call schedule pending.

Chris- thanks for the invite. The first 2 dates are out for me, but if it is then and I can't make it, know that I would have if the time worked out good. Thanks again for dropping me a line.

Any of those dates would be fine with me.
Also as others have said, Thanks very much for the invite. I havent been to a fishy gathering in quite a while and would like to make it out to one soon....Now that I'm finally all moved into the new house. I'll be keeping my eye on this thread to see what the outcome is.... Hope to see you all soon.
Dan ;)
(I didn't vote as any of those dates will work for me.)

I steered my vote away from Oct 27th because it's on the verge of Halloween, and I thought others might be busy (I'm free), but that seems like it's the most open to everyone. (Feedback?)

I'll give this thread a couple more days. If nobody has a real problem with the 27th, then that's what we'll do.

I think alot of people have the weekend before Halloween as the party weekend. Costume partys etc. I'm pretty sure I won't be around.

Juss pick a date! Its impossible to plan around everyone's schedule. Its just not possible. Whoever shows, shows. Schedules are always changing. Just have to make do is all.

Have a bad night, Kris?

I didnn't mean for that to sound harsh. Rereading it.. It does sound just that. Wasn't meant to read that way. I juss mean its to hard to work around everyone's schedule. I know mine changes weekly. So if I can't make it I can't make it. Sure I want to make it and most likely I'll find away ;) If possible. I just don't think its possible to pick a date that all of us can attend or even the mass majority. Now I'm rambling. Feel bad that my statement was interpreted that way. Not my intention.

I agree- it is impossible to fit everyone's schedule.

No problem Kris; I didn't take it personally. :)

Well, I'm going to change my vote to the 27th, which makes that the majority date. Let's do it midday so those who have Saturday night (Halloween) plans still have time to get ready.

So, if you can make it, please block out 10/27 from 1 to 4 PM @ my house. It'll probably be too cold for a picnic, so let's tentatively say pizza. Plus, I should have my second tank up by then too. :D

When he gets back, I'll ask Rainer to make the notification 'sticky'. We can start an attendance thread then too.

I hope to see you all there! Feel free to pass the word. The get-together is open to all who share our interest in marine aquaria (past differences aside).

Hey Chris,

I could use a little clarification since I have not read all the posts yet:

Is the November meeting (possibly at LFS) separate from the Oct 27th meeting? i.e.: Are both on?

Thanks

Great to see your name again, MichaelG

Right. Oct. 27th at my place. We can have another gathering at someone's house during November (I think Kris wanted to show off his new setup). But following MACNA, I was thinking it might be nice to have a vendor give a presentation to the group. If we could do that in conjunction with a LFS, so much the better. Just brainstorming. :)

Nammy,

that is really too bad - if anything changes, it would be great to see you there. It's the end of October, maybe that can change your calendar a little? :)

Chris,

are you still thinking 1-4pm?

ChrisBuono

I'm open to suggestions, but 1 - 4 PM works for me, plus it give those heading out for a Halloween party enough to to get scary..

The funny thing about this is that I know Joe posted a response, but because I added him to my ignore list, I have no idea what he wrote. :) I encourage everyone to try it out. It's quite nice.
