sure Rocky I'll trade you $250 for it :p.
Seriously I'm not quite ready for frags (gotta bring my chems in line first) but we might be able to work something out latter on down the road

The chaetamorpha sounds like it would be a very nice addition to my refuge - HINT HINT. I currently have feather caulerpa and sargassum sp. if anyone is interested but I'm not sure how to get a cutting the sargassum as it firmly embeds itself in rock and my sargassum rock is huge. Anyone have any ideas on how to propagate sargassum w/o the rock?

When I had sargassum I couldn't keep it going. I read somewhere that it has a short lifespan once it gets a certain mass, not sure tho.

BTW I will have several pounds of feather (mexicana) every month, will have more in a few weeks for whomever wants some. :smokin:

According to the web, syringodium filiforme can be found around here near St. Lucie Inlet in the Indian River Lagoon at about 2 feet depth (mean low tide). Thalassia testudinum is pretty widespread all down the coast from Sebastian Inlet southward thru the Gulf of Mexico and into Tampa Bay. Don't know the legality of collecting it but I'd like to try some of it myself.

But maybe someone has some growing on their Gulf rock or a piece got snagged on their BC by accident....or maybe it fell into their booties, possibly stuck on the anchor by accident or on the trolling motor? I do know that you have to be careful w/it because there is a long rhizoid (sp? its like a string) where all the blades are attached to and you have to get the whole string or its very touchy on re-establishing growth.
