what do you think of this setup

25 gallon tank 24x12x20 or 30 high 24x12x24
25lbs live rock
1-2 inch sand bed from existing tank
bakpak skimmer
macro algae and fake coral for seahorse to hitch onto

do i need more water circulation in the tank or is the skimmer enough
anything else that you guys can add? i plan on keeping about 1 pair sunbursts and a pair of mustangs

it sounds good. you may as well go for a 3-inch sadbed in an attempt to make it "sem-dsb." the skimmer should provide enough circulation.

ok cool so i dont need any additional water circulation other than the skimmer?.....im just used to having alot of water circulation in my reef tank i guess....thanks again

nope.. the skimmer outflow should be just enough current. i dont have any powerheads in my 20H.. just the filter & skimmer outflow. it works great, although cyano does have a tendancy to build up if im not careful.

Spring for the thirty high if you can! They'll love that, plus like fourhand2 said you can add a deeper sand bed. Currents not that important, they don't need it really. The only current I have in my tank is the filter outflow.

Just be sure you get a bubble trap for that skimmer.
