Any way you can get a top down photo, or one that shows more of the colony? Its difficult to get a good sense of polyp size or growth pattern. From what I can see so far, it does actually look like some variety of 'chalice', which could be any one of about 6 different genera.

That is NICE. From the pics shown, it looks like some sort of chalice like hormig said. What makes you think it isn't?
