Has anyone looked into using outdoor metal halide flood lamps for thier tank lighting? I was looking at a 150W MH for only $70:

But when I look for MH's specifically for aquariums they run between $150-$300.

Other than having to get a different bulb for the flood lamp is there any other difference?

I don't think those are designed for areas of high dampness and corosion. I saw on another forum someone using similar but they moved ballast away from fixture.
