Has anyone fragged a sun coral? If so. How do you go about it?

I don't know of anyone who has fragged this coral before, but I imagine you could do it the same as most plating Montiporas. Either use snippers to cut a piece off or use a Dremel or RotoZip with masonry blade to cut it.

I have not fragged my sun polyps on purpose. But, I have had some break off the mother colony and they have done just fine.
I also have had some babies pop off the mother colony.
I directly feed my sunpolyps every other night after lights out. What I do is save some of the fish food from that evenings feed and turkey baste it directly to the sunpolyps.
I also occassionally feed in the morning before sun up. As I get up at 4am.
I used to feed 1 time a week in a seperate tupperware bowl, but, found this to be a hastle.
I have also considered purposely fragging this coral. If anyone has any ideas/experienc I would like to hear it too...

Thanks

Hi, sun corals( Tubastrea sp) are very hardy animals, but, at least in my case, they grow very very slowly, so , for me the most importan stuff whith these, its to feed them properly and see if they are growing. Just a thougth:bum:
