Is anyone familiar with the pacific coast PS-2000 protein skimmer? Pros? cons? I bought one from a local fish store to upgrade my asm G-1 thats not doing a good job with my heavy stocked 120. Would this skimmer be OK for my tank or should I return it and get another brand? I also saw this skimmer online for 200.00 bucks and I paid 325.99 for mine...:eek1:

i have two pacific coast RPS-3000 aka octopus. i personally like the recirclating ones. the money you pay for these skimmers, it produces great result. also with a few mods, it can kick some butt...
where did you buy it at? will they let you return? after tax and shipping, it wont seem that much of a difference??? besides, lfs can answer any questions you have about it or if there is anything wrong with it...

Why not a g2 at least or a g3 for that sized tank.

Most experts would say that you want a skimmer sized for double what you are using it on.

My g2 works awesome on my heavily stocked 100 sps. fish and corals are wall to wall and still great chem.

what do ya think?
