I heard back from Drs. fosters-Smith today. They indicated that they get approx. 100 worthy requests for donated livestock per month. They sent me a coupon for $25. In addition they stated that if i provide them a list of all STRS members, they would send each a coupon for five dollars. Therefore, I would appreciate it if all STRS members could PM me their address ASAP. Each member can then send me their coupon wich we can use to order livestock for the zoo tank. Its not much but its something. By my count we have approx 13 members: NateR, Piazzon, Szwalla, Fatrip, Fish1219, DaveVG, Zanclus (in abstentia), St. james, Blugobi, Mac03, Jacksonpt, RyanM, drbronx. Thats from memory so I may be missing some. no offense to any I may have omitted. If everyone responds, that will provide $65 for a total of $90. Not a ton but it can get us a few fish. thanks all.

Any ideas who else I can harrass for livestock? So far I've struck out with Marine depot, GARF, and Reeftopia. Maybe I'm losing my touch. I was on a roll.

As far as who to "harass" for donations... you're probably going to have better luck with smaller outfits. The big guys probably get hit up A LOT, as Dr Foster/Smith apparently do. Look how well you did at Ithaca Reef - they aren't known outside of the are/region, so they probably don't get as many requests.

Do you know what you're looking for? Perhaps Creature Comforts would donate a few chromis or something in exchange for some "light advertising".
