I have my coral in a 5 gallon bucket. I have a 10 gallon tank in the garage that was used for turtles. What do I need to clean it with to use that for a day or two.

vinegar usually works fine...was there any copper used in the tank?

Cleaned it out with vinager.
Wiped it down. Still can smell a little bit.
Do you think it is ok to fill and run and use it to hold my coral for a couple days?

I know you just ran to the store already, but is there any way you could just run to walmart or something? They have 10g tanks for 9 bucks... That would be safer as far as i know...hopefully someone else will pitch in that knows more about turtles... I'm just not sure what all they'd do to a tank..

watch the ammonia in the tank where you will be holding the corals if it is going to be a day or more. the ammonia levels can rise very quickly.

I have a 10g you can use Stephen. I'm home for the rest of the day. Also have extra water. I also have a small light and extra pump.

I'd go with offer from others to be safe.
However, for future use--I would bleach (NOT soap) out the 10 gallon. Wash heck out of it with tons of water to get bleach out. As triple check, fill it with water then, THEN add large dose of water conditioner (after all, bleach is chlorine), let that sit a while. That should take care of turtle gunk andbleach residue.
Copper is the bigger issue--I'd run it for a while with carbon and freshwater. Then I'd keep it for a quarantine/hospital tank for fish only--probably wouldn't put in inverts or corals without copper testing it.

To my knowledge ( I was big into herps and still am) copper isnt used for turtles, expecially water.
