I have been noticing these fuzzy neon green things on my LR the last couple of weeks. Im not real sure what they are.My guess would be algea or some kind of sponge. I tried to take a picture but I could not get a good one. Can anyone help me ID without a pic?

I have a bunch growing on my live rock too. I can't seem to get rid of them.

I have neon green sponges. They are about half the size of a dime. Those above are green star polyps. The same kind that killed some digis, but not the pocillopora.

Vanilla, I recommend getting those polyps out of your tank or isolating them in the sand. They caused me some real problems in my tank.

If the look like a worm standing up and are bright green with white at the bottom it probily is a algea that feeds of the calcium in your tank.I get them ,they grow for a while then they fall off and grow again.,

Yeah ,thats what they look like. Is there and scientific name for them? Are they good/bad?

I checked my calcium last night and it was at 500. I can seem to bring it down. I just changed salts so maybe that will help. I have a 20 little polyps or what ever you want to call them. Thanks stuff is cool.
