I did much research on this recently and ended up buying a dual overflow from Lifereef Overflows (http://www.lifereef.com/siphon.html).

Was not able to find anything bad about them, and glowing recommendations everywhere. They don't require a feed pump. He says not one has failed to restart in 20 years (or something like that) after power restoration.

Mine aren't installed, I'm waiting for my sump. But I can say that they are built very well. I was quite impressed with the craftsmanship and how they were shipped. The box was HUGE! Fully wrapped and surrounded by enough peanuts to cover a hummer.

I have been making my own weir overflow they have really good directions in the DIY section, and it is not as hard as I thought it would be.

Cheaper than LifeReef--thinner plastic, but work great.

Same thing we have. We did have part of one come in cracked and was replaced. My only complaint is that they're not good at communication when you have a problem with something like that, though they fix it in a hurry, I just wasn't ever informed of WHEN the replacement would be shipped, even after emailing the guy a couple of times. It just showed up one day. :-)
