Hi all! I just had the pleasure of watching my h. erectus breed and have a few quick questions. Unforunately, I do not have the time to read reams and reams of info regarding the subject so please help me out as simply as possible as I consider myself a novice horse keeper. After countless hours watching the horses, I was lucky enough to see the female transfer her eggs to the male's pouch, however, several strands did not make it into his pouch. OK, here go the questions (1) how can I be sure that ANY made it into the male's pouch? (2) what is the gestation period? (3) what is the minimum requirements (size/filtration/substrate/plants) for a "hatching" tank in which I can separate the male to ensure that the fry hatch safely? and last but not least (4) once hatched, are baby brine shrimp enough to sustain them to maturity? Thanks in advance for any and all help you can offer and please wish me luck...I think I'm gonna need it :)
