Pipe Organ - Help!

I am having a problem of a fine cobweb like substance that covers an area of polops of my pipe organ thus keeping the animal from opening in that section. As this continues over time - or maybe another condition is happening - the pipe becomes hollow and dies off. The other areas seem to be doing OK. Has any buddy been there?

How long have you had the pipe organ?

If only for a short while than what you are seeing could be a result of damage from collecing and shipping that these corals are notorious for.

I would try directing some strong current at it to keep the are clear of any decay and hopefully you can stop the spread of this.
