Is there any way that we can start the meetings later? Socializing at 1 and meeting at 2 or later possibly. I probably won't be able to make it otherwise. I really would like to be able to start attending but work comes first unfortunately.

I have no issue starting a little later.

I am looking forward to attending my first meeting. Just let me know what to bring for food and I will be there. Also, if someone could drop me some directions, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Directions will come a week or two out, a later start is no issue here and since Tom is cool with it, it is settled. Offical meeting begins at 2, figure the raffle will be 4ish, and I got another donor. Sea Schor has donated $125 in gift certs!

And for you Iowa folk keeping tabs, the Mid West Frag Fest will most likely be April 14th, as there are no vendor trade shows and I have a dozen+ verbal commitments from some BIG dogs to attend, so we are working around thier schedule.

Once again, I'll be out of town when the meeting's at Tom's house. Not fair, since his house is less than a mile from mine. Anyway, sounds like a good time, sorry I'll miss it.

Yes!!! I can make a meeting. Now watch, my boss will make us work extended hours that Saturday. I appreciate the flexability. Is anyone interested in swapping. If so, lets post frag availability to choose from.

If anyone wants to bring their kids or spouses feel free. There is a playground and basketball court behind my house. I will have some beverages at my house and utensils and such.

I will send out an email in a couple of days with my address and some directions from a major intersection.

I'll be there unless my sister decides to have her baby a few days early... What can I bring? I'll likely be late (gotta work in the afternoon - stinking criminals don't take the weekend off, so the rest of us are forced to work), but hopefully will be there for some good gathering and raffling!

We have to cancel our attending the July meeting. I have been called to do some photography work in Indiana so we wont be bringing the slaw and plates.

Sorry to hear that Andy, but duty(and cash) calls. Missed you up north this past weekend. Hope all is well.

This meeting should be a blast, I have been able to get a few more donors to the list, Red Sea, Aqurium Parm..., and Kent, maybe even Oceanic, but that is still up in the air.

From a buisness stand point we have some schduling to do.
We have been invited up to Dr Fosters and Smith to do our postponed coral fragging work shop, yes that is right, we will be able to see a top notch aqua culture facility, frag a bunch of stuff and take some home! Also PFO wants to amaze us with solaris lighting info, Kent with info on some new product and a couple other LFS supporters would like us to come hang at thier place.
Lots of raffle items and planning at this one!

Can I get a Solaris 36" 400W equivalent 20k to beta test? :)

I am now being forced to attend a wedding that day and will not be able to attend the party. Something about family being more important than reefing. What could my fiance be thinking????
Anyhow, I would still like to support the club and participate in the raffles. I am sure other members that can not attend feel the same. If at all possible, I would like to purchase some tickets and help support our young club. Maybe I can get lucky and win something also.
Rob, if you could LMK and the others know how we could do this. The other non-attendees and I would be very appreciative of your efforts. Thanks, Shawn.

RobTop
07/09/2007, 04:34 AM
Alright, there will be pre sales pf the tickets fro those who are not in attendance. Info will be sent out via the clubs mailing list. I am still waiting on word back from a couple places to complete the list, but expect that to be very soon. Once I have a coplete list all info will be sent out.
Thanks

Rob, I will try and call you today. If you are free this evening, I will try and hook up with you and pay for my tickets and see what you have available in the aquatic world. Later, Shawn.

I am looking forward to attending my first club meeting. What is still lacking in the way of food or supplies ( Plates, table ware, nabkins) that I can volunteer to bring? Also are directions available?
Thanks

Are you on our email list? Directions will be sent via email later this week from Rob. If not I will PM them to you.

As for what to bring I think I will have drinks covered, Rob said he was bring chips, the club will supply the meat, and others were bringing side dishes and desserts. If you would bring the supplies that would be great. I am not sure how many people are coming.

I will start another thread to find out a number and what they are bringing.

Thanks

Tom

I believe I am on the mailing list, I signed up for the club after I met the great club members at the Shedd Aquarium tour.

I will be happy to bring the supplies. So put me down for PLATES, FORKS, SPOONS, PLASTIC KNIVES, CUPS, NAPKINS.

Count me in. Since photographer #1 can't make it, photographer #2 will bring a macaroni salad as a replacement for slaw.

I like that idea of purchasing some raffle tickets even though I wont be in attendance since there are some cool things to be raffled.

Just sent out the e-mail with 98% of the items, still a few out there to get in hand. As well as details on how to get in on the raffle if you wont be present

This is not the planned fragging event that we had orginally planned for May. I think some people will be bringing some frags to trade though. You are welcome to bring some things to trade with others that are here.

I sent you a pm about the buns.

You'd have to actually go to a meeting for payback (now that's the pot calling the kettle black).
