Nice tank!!!

strayvoltage your pink leather seems to be changing in color. do you have any idea why? Mine is doing the same thing.

chuy, i think there are a couple of reasons for it. One being i really think that coral is dyed. I may be all full of it, but I have done many hours of research on it and have yet to find any with that color in the wild. I have also read that there are ppl that do dye corals and where that one comes from is one of the places where it takes place. Again I could be all wrong about that. Another reason, that I have talked with Sam about is that it grew so fast and the tissue stretched so thin that the color had to lighten up, and that the production of the zooxanthellae couldn't keep up with the rapid growth. I can tell you that after changing my bulbs to new ones and of a different color , that it has slowed way down on growing and that it is starting to get a more pink color back. It grew like a weed. I had a lot of 6700k light on the tank and have done away with that now. all 10k and 7100k actinic. Thanks compliment.

Thanks zed915. I have the orbit 6x96W pc fixture. It has two 10k bulbs, two 620 nm actinics and two half 10k and half 620 nm bulbs.

Your Tank looks really nice.Just Got my 125 from Sam,waiting for my Aquactinics 72" 14x39 T5 light.About how many lbs. of rock do you have?Good job your coarals look great.

reeftexas, thanks for the kind words. I am thinking i ended up with about 220 or 225 lbs live rock. That is not counting any of the rock the corals came on. There has to be at least another 40 or so lbs of them. 14x39 t5's that sounds like it is going to be a nice fixture, no doubt the brand is a good one. Is your new tank drilled?

I am using the 6x95W orbit on my tank. I am really pleased with it. But I have now set up a new 12gal Aquapod, and I put a 150WMH light on it. After seeing it next to my big tank, I now wish I would have bought the outer orbit with the MH light with t5's. Oh well live and learn. Again thanks

reeftexas : Aquactinics 72" 14x39 T5 light , that should be a nice light. Aquactinics does make some great lights.
