I am looking for the best shallow prop. tank or trough for the LEAST amount of money. Can anyone tell me of anything better than this:

It is a 72x36x12 polyethylene tank for $159. I was gong to set it on concrete blocks and put in vertical pvc overflows coming from the bottom and leading to the sump of my tank.

Any cheaper ideas?

Looks like it would work but your going to have to add some shipping costs in. My guess it would be cheaper to try to pick up a used 125 gallon aquarium with a few scratches. You should be able to get a used 125 for about $125. If you can't find one available by iquiring at LFSs and looking in the newspaper under pets, you would most likely get a response if you placed an add in the correct section of the pet section of clasifieds stating you'd like to buy a used 125gal aquarium for $125. Just a thought

rubbermaid makes stock watering tanks that can be reasonably inexpensive ( < $100 for 100g )

the 300 gal rubbermaids are only $164 local to me .
but I can get the 45mil epdm liner for $5 a foot.so a 10ftx6ft piece for $30 will make a 3ft x 6ft x 11.5" vat with some treated 2x12's and styrofoam.(it will sit on the ground outside)
all I plan to do for this vat/sump that will be the RDP dsb prop vat connected to my 180 display inside is sink some 2ft landscape timbers nail the 2x12s to them line the bottom with styrofoam put in the liner and done...
but for a cheap inside vat I like 46 gal sterlties (the ones with weels from walmart for $15.. hang a 250 or 400 saki and done.let the container bow out IMO they are very strong IMO I cut the top out of a lid for a brace and it works but I get a little more volume and better light distrubution with it bowed out alittle.(without the lid/brace) if you add 6-7" of sand they dont bow to much really .get 2-3 connect them to another for a fuge and done
