I used A product buy quikrete it's a 2 part water based epoxy sealer has large color selection tan and grey ;) also comes with plastic "color flakes" that you "sprinkle" to get the marble like effect. they claimed it was low oder and they wern't lieing I was expecting to have to ventilate my apt. but there was no need all in all I'm happy with it

Well I made a new RCSD it holds a little over 3 gallons should be large enough to create a good surge.

Well I've been making a foam background for the tank

the only thing I'm undecided about is what to coat them with, it's either
1) concrete
2) fiberglass resin
3) epoxy paint
I just really don't want to go thru a drown out curing proccess with the concrete , the resin may melt some parts and smells to high heaven, the epoxy paint I don't know if it will even work or melt the foam. so anybody got a sugestion please let me know thanks.

well I think I'm gona ditch the foam background stuff, if I'm gona mess with concrete I'm gona make rocks, thinking hard about it, resin nope and the only epoxy paint I'll have is tan the tank doesn't need any more tan in it ;)

Lookin good so far though. I haven't ever worked with the foam so I can't help you there. I can say that I have seem some great homemade rock, once cured and covered in coralin algea, i'm not even sure the trained eye could spot the difference. Good luck, keep us informed.
