Has anyone dived the spiegel grove in the keys? I am down with my sons and may dive it on Friday.

What did you think?

Watch the weather before you go and the currents have been running exceptionally strong.

Thanks, Guys

Been diving here since Monday and I have to say that I am a little disappointed. I've had six dives so far and seen very little coral.

The situation here has me searching for reasons as to why the water quality has been allowed to deteriorate to the point where it requires fixing.

I don't mean to sound glum over this, because to the naked eye it is still beautifull. It seems commercialism is still the priority here where divers and conservationalists are in the minority.

oh for crying out loud, get out of the park.

Take a ride south to Snake Creek. Have Lady Cyana take you to the garden. They've been taking you to the reef crest, the coral is in the patch reefs behind you. For obvious reasons, they don't like to take a lot of divers there.

Plus another trick.

Acros are going to be on the West end of the patches and bolder corals are going to be on the East end.
Ricordea will be where you see encrusting gorgs, and branching anemones are all ways on the far North end.
Look in all the blue vase sponges for scarlet hermits.

Have fun
