I apologize if this is in the wrong forum... I didn't know what the classification would be for this coral.
Sorry,

Hard to tell what it is from the picture. Is it Turbinaria sp., Montipora sp.?

Am I looking at it wrong? It looks like dead skeleton with tiny white tubeworm spirals all over it...

Is there a chance that if I get it out of this gentlemans tank I can save it or is it a lost cause.
I don't want to put it in my tank if it's only going to cause me troubles as well.
Thanks
