nano 7 gallon came today

No, and if it does it will fill every inch. I split an order with a friend a few months ago and what I got would not fit in a 7 gallon bowfront. My wife's nano reef in her office has about 12 lbs of rock and about 3" of southdown.

Looks like you have an excuse to buy a $10.00 / 10 gallon tank for another reef.

Also this rock shouldn't cycle very hard but it will cycle despite what you may hear. Don't add anything you want to keep until the ammonia-nitrite gig is done. Shouldn't take long.

I don't think you's fit more than 10-12 pounds comfortable in a 7 gallon.

The gulf-view rock, like said above, will cycle but not very harshly at all.
