I just received a note from current usa was told the fans are
2 3/8 x 2 3/8 x 5/8, now the Vantec's measures are metric,
60 x 60 x 25mm and 80 x 80 x 25mm. I calculated the 60's are the closest in size.

Has anyone done this before on a Aquapod24?

I could use some help here.

Yep I did and it was the 60's. You need to buy some screws for it though. The Vantec is almost double the width so the screws won't fit. Go to Home Depot and get the really long ones. Take the fan with you to Home Depot and get some screws that will work.

is there any mods you have to do? or do the fans just bolt in place?

They bolt in place...no problem....but, you will have to cut and solder/wire-nut the old harness to the new fan(s).

dfwlks - do you remember what size was the screws?

I think they were close to 2" because of the width of the fan it really is double the size of the standard fan. I didn't have to do anything special. I just connected all the wires together by color. The Vantec has an extra colored wire that I didn't use. Just use the two wires on ap and match the color with the vantec. Also remember to get stainless for rust purposes.

I just swapped out the fans and drilled down the vantec's holes so that the original screws will fit.
