Stopped by the Bert's Pet Center this evening, and they have a good SALE on tanks right now.

"$1 a gallon sale" on tanks from 20 - 75 gallons.

Yep....
20 gal = $20
38 gal = $38
55 gal = $55
75 gal = $75

Absolutely no affiliation with this (or any) store. I just thought this was a great deal.

too good to pass up...

now to explain to the mrs how a new tank is better than a weekend getaway...

Good thing....because in my opinion this is a newsworthy sale. If you have seen a 75 for less than $75, please let me know!

Not for THAT price!

To be honest, I was just going to dinner at the mexican place in the same plaza, and stopped in on a whim. Just happened to notice the sign (and all the tanks stacked up!).

This type of post is very beneficial to the members. It could allow members an opportunity to get their first tank, or simply to upgrade to a bigger tank due to the affordability. Can't beat this deal. I just wish it was good for tanks bigger than 75g. I wish my tank only cost $380. I might have gotten a couple more, or maybe just got a couple thousand gallon tank, lol. Na, whenever I build my new house in the next 5 years I will def. go bigger than the 380.

I haven't even heard of a 38 before but 36x12x20 gives it some nice proportions. A little shallow front to back but overall it would have made a nice low dollar tank for the FW planted project I'm starting.

Oh well, as cheap as that is it was hard to beat the 10G kit that I found in the attic. :)

For $75, I would consider replacing my sump more the way I would like it as opposed to pulling it out and working on it.

I was going through some posts and seen one where a guy had a 6000 gallon tank in CA. Could you imagine? He had his water trucked in....lived near the coast I suppose....
