I just got the nerve to take my first dive into cutting coral with my beautiful Colt.
I took a razor & cut a 2 inch branch off the bottom & attached it to a rock with a toothpick & rubber band!
There was virtually no mucus shedding at all but of course the mother has definitely shown signs of disapproval.
The small branch wasnt as easy to cut as I imagined as I had to make 3 cuts to get it off the mother.
I really hope infection doesnt set in.
Can anyone tell me what I should expect over the next week or so -so I'll know if everything is normal or not?
Worried in Texas----Kevin.

Hello

I just frag mine at least twice a year, the main colony always looks pretty rare wen cut, but in a few weeks you will see new polips arising from the cuts and the colony. No mucus indicates a very good healthy coral, so you donn going to have bad surprises as infections.

Congratulations for your babys ann sorry about my fancy englihs
