on average, how much does shipping cost? I know it depends on where you're shipping to, and how much the package weighs, but can anyone give me a general idea?

FWIW: UPS {United Parcel Service- ya'know: "BROWN"}
has rates comparable to FedEx.
USPS {United States Postal Service} has "Express Mail" or "Priority Mail" services to choose from.
"Express Mail" is their overnight service, "Priority" is usually 2 day.
There are other overnight service providers as well.

man...that's expensive. How long can they last in the shipping boxes? At that rate, shipping is more expensive than the actual corals we're selling. You could buy 3 corals for the price of shipping! geeze...

Good reason to join a local reef club. Either share shipping, or swap frags. Even learn to frag from other members. If you don;t have one nearby....form one.

But remember, if you are starting a MO service. There are a lot of peeps not located by any LFS's, or it's very inconvenient for them to get to an LFS. Most people don't mind spending 30-40 on shipping for multiple coral orders. Remember also, things like zoo's, shrooms, cloves, most matt growers, and many other softies can arrive fine with 2 day shipping...usually 15-23 bucks.

Just thought I'd throw that to ya, Bryan
