If you guys had to pick the perfect fish/es to put in a 10 Gallon Tank, what would they be? I have an idea what I want, but am looking for suggestions.

I've seen several threads like this, and the consensus has always been a pair of ocellaris clowns aka false percs.

Chess Wizard, I was going to say a flame angel also because I saw one at the lfs taday and it was AMAZING. It is now my favorite fish. I didn't say it because they are not good for a 10g like you said.

In my 12g i have a pigmy angel, strawberry pseudo, and percula pair. The angel adds a lot of color and grace, and the clowns add character. The pseudo is getting kind of mean, so i'll be taking it back to the LFS soon for some credit.

Try something exotic such as a goby pair or something that is hard to find but an eye stopper when it's found. Maybe a pair of worm fish or something.

Pomacanthus1 isn't that 12 overstocked? I have a 12 and a skimmer rated at 90 gallons but i still only have 2 ocellaris clowns. Also i heard pygmy angels need their space and dont do very well in smaller tanks like a 12. Not to mention there's too many fish anyways

I plan on getting a pair of false clowns, but I also want another fish. Let me know what you think I can add.
I was considering an:
orchid dottyback
sunrise dotty
springers dotty or
neon goby
Let me know which you think would be best in that tank.

Yeah, that's another reason i'm getting rid of the pseudo.

The pigmy angel is doing very well. It has grown about 1/2" since i bought it, and has gotten fatter. It gets along great with the clowns, but it and the pseudo sure don't. Every once and a while i see some scales missing on the pigmy. The pseudo has even started to nip at the clowns.

My vote is for a couple of clown gobies. They are so cute and perch on rocks and just stare at you. Also cardinals are neat.

I would avoid the pseudochromis (Dottybacks) Very cool colors, but really aggressive. Not only is their aggression a bad scene for other fish in a small tank, they tend to zip around & pop out of the tank for a carpet surfing session.

Also, the diadema pseudochromis that I had (Pink/Yellow w/ blue eyes) was neat, but did nothing but hide in a cave, only coming out to feed and stake territory anyway.

Yes i have pics but i dont know how to post them. if ou tell me how i will hapily show you. By the way they're acutally Amphiprion Ocellaris but i think percula is easier to say and sounds better

for something other than percs, you could do a pair of psuedochromis frimani, aka orchid dottybacks. they're the least aggresive of the lot. I had a pair till a heat event/die off did them in. they were pretty well behaved in my 30g. I'd get small ones, that way they can duke it out as to who gets to be the guy (reverse of clownfish). if you go that route, I'd recommend reading Martin Moe's Breeding the Orchid Dottyback
