Feb 12, 2007 - The National Weather Service says Central Illinois is under a Winter Storm Warning starting at 6:00 p.m. today and running through Midnight Tuesday night.

Winter storm conditions will move into the area tonight and continue through Tuesday evening.

News 25's Sandy Gallant says low pressure wil bring heavy snow to some parts of our viewing area. The heaviest areas should be along Interstate 55 to the Indiana border.

Parts of the viewing area could see anywhere from four inches to a foot snow, with larger accumulation expected on the eastern side of our viewing area. The winds could also pick up on Tuesday with northeast winds of 20 to 30 mph possible causing drifting and blowing snow.

Just thought you all might like to know so you can plan accordingly.
