Hey all.

I am getting ready to start a 10gal nano. i was wondering what kind of lighting does everyone recommend. I am looking to have a couple of small fish and possibly some xenia or mushrooms. i was thinking of a 2x13watt bright kit. Is this enough?

Any suggestions??

It would probably be enough but I think you should get 1x36w kit.

While a 2x13watt bright kit would work lower light critters, I would recommend a 2 x 36 watt bright kit for a 10-gallon. Then I would purchase one 10,000K bulb and one true Actinic bulb from hellolights.com . You could also gt two 50/50 bulbs for a little more even lighting as well.

I'd go with 2x32 or 2x36. They are more expensive to start with but then you won't have to upgrade when you realize you need more light. I run 3x13 on my 5.5.

I agree with the masses on this one. While you may be able to support low light corals using the 2x13 bright kit, you will soon want more light. I would go with the 2 x 36 watt setup on this. I currently run 2 x 55 on my ten gallon.
