Hey all:

Kim & I would like to thank all of you for making the trip!

Boris: polyps are Anthelia polyps. Thanks for the live sand. I put it in the 7 gal with the Arrow Crab. The limpet is doing fine, too.

Nagel: thanks for the pornographic devil's hand :eek1: and colt. I'll get started on propping the polyps. Any suggestions, let me know.

Radiata: thanks for the stars!

Jimroth: thanks for the acro f. and the hostess gift;)

Faisal: thanks for the macro.

Miktrav: let me know if you have any problems setting up that BakPak, and of course, keep us posted on how it's working.

Hope to catch you all at the next meeting, and those that follow. Anyone that makes the trip back up to Beital's, let me know. I would suggest coming up during the week if you can make it, since they get shipments in on Mon/Tues, at which point his selection is much wider.

Just wanted to tell Ken and Kim thanks for the hospitality! Really, we are not used to such niceties as BBQ's ribs and such :) Excellent tanks too, very bonsai'ish, I can see that's a general theme for you guys, keep it going, it looks great as it is :)

Ken: My guess is prop a piece of rubble near them, almost on top of them (if it's kinda squishing a polyp stalk, even better, it will be covered in no time). As for the devil's hand, it was an accident, I swear, the rubberband did it when it was being mounted (I know, not exactly the term one wants to use with that coral ROFLMAO)

Boris: n/p man, anytime :)

Jim: thanks for the orange monti, we'll see how that fars with my other monti's...

Mike: Glad ya got out, and keep us posted on the bakpak :) I thought I lost ya when I went to 87 North, but ya found the parkway :)

The wife and I are looking forward to the next meeting :) Can't wait to have our own house to host in, and when we do, boy oh boy, that big tank will be there :)

See ya guys next time...

Ken,
Sorry I missed out again. My mother in Law passed away last week. And with my surgery, I could not fly back to Greece with her. :( Hopefully, the next meeting will be on a date I can attend. My family is in need of a break from the stress endured this summer, So we are planning several short weekend trips this August. Who is hosting the August meeting???

It sure sounds like you need a break!

As far as I know, Ed Burhop is hosting down in Egg Harbor, near Atlantic City.

Hey, folks:

Just curious how the anthelia polyps are doing for those that took them home: did they attach easily? If so, I'll just let them grow onto the glass again: easy propping, for sure. Maybe I'll get some to grow on the side glass instead.

I tied it to a rock and proped it aganst the rear of my tank. It fell somewhere and I can't find it any more.

Ken,

My frag is doing quite nicely. I think it is attached, but I probably won't remove the rubberband for another week or two.

Well, I'm glad to hear that they are looking good. The original colony consisted of maybe 4 polyps, and after tripling, looked absolutely aweful: polyps "wrung out" and shrunk. They didn't expand for about a month, and looked like they were melting away. Well, needless to say, they came back strong.

Boris: just keep an eye out for them: They are remarkably resilient, and I have had a few actually sink into my pistol shrimp's cave, without light for a number of days, only to have him kick them back out & they were fine!

Jim: definitely into boarding Casey for a while, but I'll back in touch with you about the details.
