Hi, I bought my first one on 12/20/06 and the actinic light was bad and the LED connector was corroded with green crud and not working. All this right out of the box!!! Packed it and exchanged it for a new one. Not two weeks into the new one does a fan start making noise. Come to find out the other fan never worked. Oceanic (now central aquatics) mailed me two new fans. Took one of the old fans out and the new one was too BIG. WOW!!!!!!!
I was also told by a staff member there that a lot of ballasts are going bad and they just send new ones out when that problem occures with BioCube owners!
It seems to me that the consumer is paying for mistekes overlooked by them. I plan on taking my 14 back today. No more nano for me. I will see to it that the livestock, freshwater, gets good homes.

Sorry to hear that Reeferman247. I hope you have better luck than I did.I emailed and left a voice message early Monday morning and no one got back to me. The mother company who now ownes Oceanic and All-Glass I found out today when I returned the BioCube, glad to be done with that, ownes a whole slue of pet supply company's. I forgot their name but they also own Kaytee bird and small animal foods/treats, Nyla Bone, Kent and others like this. Too bad!!! I used to think highly of Oceanic. No more. Not even LFS like to deal with them when it comes to customer service.
My (not so local 54 mi. round trip) LFS Emmons Tropical in CT. even offered to switch it out again for what would have been the third one.I am DONE with Oceanic..........

I've had my biocube since the summer (I got one of the first ones out) and my only problem so far has been one fan going bad and they were very prompt/polite about sending me new ones immediately. I personally think of the company very highly and think they are very good about replacing broken parts.

mdisalvo55, I am happy to hear this. Your 14g looks great. I especially like the aquascaping. When the time is right, I will get another nano. I had a pair of Yashia Gobies with a Pistol Shrimp at my LFS that I worked on the owner to sell me and this experience happened.

Earlnewt, thanks for the compliments! I've changed the aquascaping and now its more natural looking (just a pile of rocks hah)...I'll post a pic in a little bit the corals have spread quite a bit. Also I added the last final addition, a cleaner shrimp and his colors look great.

Let me know what you guys think! I know it's a tad overstocked but I do frequent water changes and keep up on maintenance in every other aspect, so leave those comments behind.
