Anyone that might have some drawings of their sump designs, if you could post them here or email them that would be great! The 125g is here and now the work starts :D

FirstAveKid, Welcome to ReefCentral. Have you decided what kind of animals you are going to keep? How tall is the stand? How much room are you willing to sacrifice in the stand? Are you going to use a calcium reactor, are you going to place ballasts in the stand, internal or external return pump, skimmer, etc...

There's a lot to consider when planning a sump. Here's a recent link with many sumps: Post your best sump pics!! (http://archive.reefcentral.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?threadid=97269)

Here's a link (http://ww2.comasonline.org:8080/reefpics/donny/sump/page_01.htm) to the plans for the sumps that Richard and I built. It can be adjusted to fit almost any space.

Good Luck and welcome to the hobby.

Don I think they will probably do what I have. LPS and softies, no SPS for now. They will prob use the extra CS6-2 Euroreef skimmer I have once they order a Sedra pump for it. I might see if I can use a similar gph magdrive. Im sure it would be cheaper. Probably 4 VHO's, no Ca reactor for now. Maybe an autotop off since where they put the tank they can tap off the line used for the fig and plumb a RO/DI to it.

Hello all,

I am very new to the hobby and was just pointed to this great forum for OK hobbists from the Newbie section. I guess you could say I am slow, cause I have been readin' away on the Newbie forum alone for atleast the past 4 weeks!

Don, does that offer extend to newbies? :) I am definitely one of those that if I can visualize it, I will feel better about installin' one myself.

Can someone point me to the link where I can get more info about joinin' your club? Sounds great to be able to converse in person with fellow hobbist.
